Composolite Splice Boxes

Quazite in ground enclosures and splice boxes are made from precast polymer concrete. These enclosures are designed to replace concrete enclosures for communications splice boxes, service boxes, handholes, water meter applications, CATV enclosures, telecommunications switching equipment and other utility applications.

Polymer Concrete is a precast material made from aggregates combined with a polymer resin. It is reinforced with fiberglass to provide great strength at a fraction of the weight of concrete. It is more stable in freezing and thawing conditions, impact resistant, and in many applications it is actually stronger than concrete.

Lightweight — 1/10 to 1/3 the weight of concrete
High Strength — compressive, flexural and tensile strengths three to five
times higher than traditional concrete

Stable Under Freeze/Thaw Conditions
Impact Resistant — tested per ASTM D-2444
Low Water Absorption — less than 1% per ASTM D-570
Corrosion Resistant — resistant to alkalines, acids, weathering and other

Nonflammable — will not support combustion
Non conductive — no grounding required for the box or cover
